Hi everyone! đź‘‹

I’m fairly new to Ontario and originally from Nepal. I’ve been craving some authentic Nepali flavors—especially momos, dal bhat, and sel roti—and I’m wondering where fellow Nepali expats go out to eat.

I know there are plenty of Indian restaurants in Ajax and across the GTA, and I’ve tried a few already. Some of them are great—I’d even say one spot might be the best Indian food restaurant in Ajax for butter chicken and naan—but I’m looking for something that truly feels like home.

If anyone knows a Nepali food restaurant in Ontario—especially those that serve authentic dishes and maybe even a thakali thali—please drop your recommendations here. Bonus points if it’s in or near Ajax, Scarborough, or Mississauga!

Also, for those who don’t mind Indian cuisine now and then, which Indian restaurants in Ajax do you recommend for a quick but tasty dinner?

Looking forward to hearing from you all! 🙏
